Healing Herbal Teas for Acid Reflux
Slippery Elm Tea
Slippery elm bark has a sweet, neutral flavor. It can be consumed by itself, or you can add extra herbs for added flavor and depth to soothe sore inflammed throat and stomach.
Makes 1 cup
Ingredients
1 Tbsp. organic slippery elm bark powder
1 cup of boiling water
Raw or manuka honey or other sweetener, to taste
Instructions:
Boil water.
Place 1 tablespoon of slippery elm powder in a cup and add 1/2 cup of hot water to mug, stir/whisk immendiately until dissolved. Slippery elm is mucilagious and thickens when added to water.
Add another 1/2 cup of water to the mug.
Add any extra ingredients (honey, cinnamon, etc..)
Allow to sit for 3-5 minutes (it will thicken slightly). Enjoy!

Fresh Ginger Tea
Making fresh ginger tea is as simple as boiling fresh ginger in water.
Makes 1 cup
Ingredients
1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger (remove skin if not organic by scraping with the back of a knife or spoon)
1 cup of boiling water
Raw, organic honey or other sweetener, to taste, if desired
Instructions:
Grate fresh ginger root
In a saucepan, combine the grated ginger with fresh water and bring to boil on high heat.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Pour into cup, using a strainer to remove the grated ginger
Add raw/manuka organic honey, if desired. Enjoy!

Notes: For a milder tea, simply use less ginger or boil for less time. Enjoy as an after meal tea to increase digestion.
Cardamom and Fennel Seeds Tea
Stimulates digestion and decreases inflammation.
Makes 1 cup
Ingredients
1 cup of water
2 teaspoons whole fennel seeds
4 whole cardamom pods, crushed
Raw or manuka honey or other sweetener, to taste, if desired
Instructions:
In a small saucepan over high heat, bring the water to a boil.
Add the fennel seeds and crushed cardamom pods. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Pour the tea through a strainer into a cup.
Add raw or manuka honey or other sweetener, to taste, if desired
Notes: For a stronger tea, simply boil an extra 2-3 minutes. Enjoy as an after meal tea to increase digestion.
